Terms of Service
The rules for installing and using Cashnova.
Last updated: July 2026
Welcome to Cashnova. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and the operator of Cashnova ("we", "our", or "the app") and govern your access to and use of the application and related services. Please read them carefully before installing or using the app.
Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the app, you confirm that you have read these Terms and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the app and uninstall it from your device.
1. License to Use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms and Apple's standard End User License Agreement. You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sublicense, sell, or rent the app or any portion of it
- Decompile, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the source code, except as expressly permitted by law
- Use the app for unlawful or unauthorized activities, or in a way that infringes the rights of others
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information into the app or into any claim referenced by the app
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to bypass the app's functionality, integrity, or security features
2. What Cashnova Is (and What It Isn't)
Cashnova is an independent aggregator that surfaces publicly available information about class-action settlements, data-breach cases, unclaimed-funds programs, and similar opportunities. Based on the profile you set up, the app matches you against open cases and shows payout ranges, eligibility notes, required proof, and deadlines.
Cashnova is not:
- Affiliated with any court, government agency, defendant, or settlement administrator
- A payment processor — we do not hold, transfer, or disburse any funds
- A law firm and does not provide legal, tax, or financial advice
- A guarantor that you will qualify for any case or receive any payment
Eligibility and payout decisions are made solely by the official administrator of each case, under the terms of that case. Any payment you receive is issued directly by that administrator, on their own timeline.
3. Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information in your profile and in any submitted claim. You must not submit claims for which you are not eligible.
- Read the eligibility, proof, and deadline requirements of each case before filing.
- Comply with any additional terms imposed by the settlement administrator when you file directly through them.
- You are responsible for any tax or reporting obligations tied to payouts you receive.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Certain features are available through in-app subscriptions:
- The Weekly plan includes a 3-day free trial for new subscribers.
- The Monthly plan does not include a free trial.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancellation is initiated at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase and again upon each renewal.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's App Store account settings.
- Payment processing, billing, and subscription management are handled entirely through Apple's in-app purchase system. Refund requests are subject to Apple's applicable policies and are processed by Apple, not by us.
5. Third-Party Case Submissions
When you file a claim, the actual submission is made to the official administrator of that case through their form, portal, or process. That administrator applies its own privacy policy, terms, and eligibility rules to your submission. Cashnova has no control over their timing, decisions, or communications.
6. Updates and Availability
We may release updates that add, modify, or remove features at any time, and we may discontinue parts of the app or the service as a whole. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, continued access to any specific feature, or the presence of any given case in the app at any given time.
7. Disclaimer
The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, accuracy, completeness, non-infringement, and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that case information is complete, current, or free of errors, and we do not warrant that you will qualify for or receive any payout.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. This includes, without limitation, any missed deadlines, denied claims, inaccurate case data, delayed or rejected payouts by settlement administrators, or data loss resulting from device changes, app updates, or actions you take inside the app. Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for related subscriptions during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time if these Terms are violated, if continued use creates legal or technical risk, or if the service is discontinued. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law — will continue to apply.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator is established, without regard to conflict of law principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
